I have been interested in social justice my entire life.  Professionally, my background is in the anti-violence movement.  I worked as a volunteer and paid professional in the movement to end violence against women in many capacities for several years.  During that time, I served my community as a legal/medical advocate for rape survivors, as well as teaching self-defense classes and facilitating support groups. 

When I began to burn out as an activist, I discovered acupuncture, which provided me the kind of support I needed to keep fighting to change the system.  My experiences with acupuncture inspired me to want to work with my clients on a somatic level, as well as with verbal support.  That desire lead me to acupuncture school, and now, I hope to bring the same kind of relaxation and renewal at the end of a needle to others working toward social change and struggling with despair and anger in the face of injustice .  And, of course, I am very much honored to work with trauma survivors of all kinds to facilitate healing and transformation. 

Now, I am an LGBTIQQ-, Kink-, and Poly- friendly practitioner of acupuncture and bodywork in NYC. While acupuncture as a practitioner is new to me, working in the healing arts is not. Growing up, I apprenticed in herbalism under the brilliance of my mother, and have been a Reiki practitioner for 16 years.
